About Us
Hi! We are Ezrah and Ming, two homies who were first-year college roommates that just so happened to become besties AND transitioned around the same time. We met bestie Gabe along the way and have been wildin' ever since! We're here to discuss how being proud trans men has changed our lives for the better and to educate those who are open to listening. From sprouting butt hair on the first day of testosterone to figuring out why men's bathrooms are so dirty, we talk about whatever we want while educating/advocating for ourselves and our community.

Episode 12: We Love Melons
Monday May 09, 2022
Monday May 09, 2022
Episode 12 houses a special place in our hearts. With our lovely guest and forever bestie, Melon, on the show, we have a nice time chillin' in our new office space (Ezrah's car) and discussing finals week. Sit back, relax, study hard (or don't), and enjoy the vibe.

Episode 11: According to Our Professor, Radiators are the Best Form of Heat
Monday May 02, 2022
Monday May 02, 2022
This week we interviewed our psychology and women's, gender, and sexuality studies professor, Dr. Kala Melchiori, who taught us about the psychology of women and gender and attended the Chicago conference with Ezrah. She gives the inside scoop on what it's like living in the city as a graduate student (while pregnant too, whew!) and as a professor who is not afraid to start a committee to fight injustice. She's changing the world, and we want to join her.

CHICAGOOOO! CHICAGOOOO! Ezrah travels to the windy city with his research lab to present a study at the Midwestern Psychological Association conference. Sadly Ming could not fit in a carry-on bag (no way was Ezrah paying for another checked bag), so he had to stay with the pets. In this special episode, Ezrah gives a rundown of a few presentations he listened to during his trip.
Lastly, we both wanted to give a huge thanks again to those who agreed to present for our podcast! Research that will help others is the research we want and need. In order below are the names, universities, and studies featured in this episode:
Miles Christopher, Augsburg University: Gendered Differences in Gaze Patterns
Joey Rhodes, Oakland University: The Impact of Anxiety on Xenophobia and Discrimination During COVID-19
Rachel Taggart, Purdue University: Nostalgia Proneness Moderates the Effect of Chronic Ostracism on Meaning
Leah Stampfer, Grand Valley State University; Emma Walquist, Grand Valley State University: Examining the Link Between Social Exclusion and Aggression

Episode 9: Call Her Doctor
Monday Apr 18, 2022
Monday Apr 18, 2022
Guest Alert! Ezrah decided to be bold and invite his biopsychology professor, Dr. Melanie Shoup-Knox, onto the show. In episode 9, we talk about how Dr. Shoup-Knox works as an ally by maintaining an inclusive environment in her curriculum for students and in her home with her family. We also discuss her super extraordinary research (that Ezrah will soon be joining...), but you'll have to listen to find out more!!

Episode 8: We On TOP
Monday Apr 11, 2022
Monday Apr 11, 2022
In episode 8, we talk about all the good shit that has been happening to us and how we have been able to thrive recently. We've been on our homework, research, work, podcast, and fun-with-friends GRIND—time to sit outside and bask in all our glory... and make a quick phone call.

Episode 7: Homie Check-in
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Monday Apr 04, 2022
In episode 7 we take a breather to see where the homies are at. Between creating connections, having microphone issues (and having to purchase new microphones), and the arrival of our business cards, we've been busy boys. Sometimes you just gotta see what's new outside of the chaos. Happy Monday!

Episode 6: What’s Your Spotify?
Monday Mar 14, 2022
Monday Mar 14, 2022
In Episode 6, we look at our music playlists, top songs, and top artists. Who had Drivers License as their top song? Who has a weirdly deep love of Justin Bieber? Join us to find out (and laugh at them).
NOTE: Sadly, spring break means the studio we use on campus to record will be closed this week, so no episode next Monday! Catch up with us on the 28th! In the meantime, we will be sleeping for the next 168 hours.

Episode 5: Let Us Exist in Peace
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Episode 5 covers recent transgender legislation, well, at least what we can understand from it. With Florida and Texas riding into their transphobic sunset together, we look into what our home state of Virginia has against the trans community (spoiler alert: there are currently four anti-trans bills in committee) and how we can help the public stay informed.
Help Ming Get Top Surgery!
A Word From Ezrah: My homie Ming deserves the world, but in order to enjoy that to his fullest, he needs gender-affirming top surgery!! This procedure is NOT just a “cosmetic procedure” but gives life to a soul that’s been waiting for it’s vessel to become everything Ming wants it to be. I want nothing more than for him to feel the same relief I felt after my top surgery. I want to be the support I so longed for during my top journey. I hope our nipples can touch the sun together soon and that we can play in the pool as our most loved selves. The QR code can be scanned to donate to the GoFundMe. Please share with your family and homies as well :) 💕🏳️⚧️ #MingMyKing
